Battle of Inimīcōrum – Chapter 1
Well, just got a working draft of chapter 1, which is my first battle in the campaign, up and on the site. You can follow the progress of the campaign from the Librarium’s Stories page.

Planetary Empires
Down at Crossroads we have just started up a Planetary Empires campaign. Last night was the first night and we had a good showing of six players to kick it off. I’ve always been a fan of campaigns as having a goal for your battles and a chance to write in some fluff for your army is nice. We plan to play it over eight weeks, so I’ll hopefully get plenty of material to fluff out my Marine chapter Fate’s Angels some more.

Painting an Army
Painting. There’s nothing quite like seeing two fully painted armies face off in a game, especially if there’s some nice scenery. The combination of painted armies and a nice looking table really adds a layer of fun for me, it’s almost real. No longer are we pushing around plastic and metal models and rolling dice, we’re two generals facing off on the field of battle. Then there’s the armies that never see a paint brush that ruin it all.
This morning Joe contacted me about doing some work for a full Space Marine company he has. Joe has 6 Tactical squads, 2 Devastator squads, a 6-man Assault squad, 6 Land Speeders, about 10 Dreadnoughts and 3 Predators. I’ll be doing the modeling on the company, cleaning them up, assembling them and priming them for him. I’ll also be doing some base painting on the infantry. It’s going to be a big task but it will be very cool to see a full company all at once. I’ll be sure to get shots once the projects gets fully underway.
Legion of the Damned
It seems everyone loves Legion of the Damned (LoD), for their fluff but many have reservations about fielding them. Many argue that for the points you get more use out of Sternguard. Being someone who also enjoys their fluff and loves the new models for them, well I had to give them a shot. Now, when I write tacticas they aren’t written to tell you how to use something, instead they are generally more my experience with a unit and my thoughts. I’ll never claim to know the absolute best way to do anything but I do enjoy sharing my views.

My Decline from PC Gaming
I first got into online PC gaming back in 1999 with a little known game called Starsiege. I promptly realized I needed to join a squad, what Starsiege referred to a guild, in order to have some real fun. Long story short, I took the reigns of the squad that was named Destroyers of Hope and have been running the guild ever since.
I have some fluff and stories I’ve written for my 40K armies that has existed on a private forum I set up for my friends and I. Seeing as it has always been private I figured it was time to put it out there for others to read who may be interested.
The Tournament Scene (Part2)
My other point with tournaments was a learning experience. As I said in the last post, this last tournament I went into much more prepared. After the first tournament I began writing up my next army list for my Orks and spent a great deal of time fine tuning it. I combed over the list so many times I lost count and I play tested the hell out of it. Which brings me to my point.

The Tournament Scene (Part1)
Well, let me kick off this new site format change with something I recently started doing, competing in local 40k tournaments; more specifically the monthly ones held at Crossroads Games. Every month Crossroads holds a tournament and I’ve attended the one in November and the one for January. I have to say I’ve had a blast at both of them.

Changes are Coming!
I set up this site originally for commission painting, and I’ll continue doing commission painting, but seeing as that’s just something I do for fun, well I feel this site is being wasted. By that I mean that I don’t do a lot of commission work and meanwhile the site just sits here collecting dust so I may as well make use of it. I plan to turn this into a 40k blog where I post the things that float around in my head like fluff for my armies, some battle reports, general 40k thoughts, things of that nature.
