Daemon Prince: Work in ProgressA quick update on my Daemon Prince. At this stage I’m working on the skin and I have most of the skin close to completion. I haven’t touched the white/blue skin yet for the wings, that’s next, but I’ve hit the rest of the skin. The final touch on the skin will be some extreme highlights where appropriate.  Read more... Battle Report: 1,750 Team Tournament

Battle Report: ZahndrekhSaturday a friend and I went to a team tournament, it was 1750 points per player. Yes, you read that right. Per player, meaning 3500 point teams, 3500 vs 3500. 1850 Reavers vs. Tyranids battle report

Command Center: v.2.0.0 Progress

Thor’s Workbench: Daemon Prince WIP #2

Daemon Prince: Work in ProgressI’ve made a lot of progress since the very early shot last week. At this stage most everything is base coated, still a few details to pick out. I’ve shaded the blue parts of the armor and the metallics. The wings are mostly complete, the webbing part anyway. There’s a few small things to wrap up and then it’s on to the skin, which will take the longest amount of time but subsequently show the greatest results once done.  Read more... Battle Report: Team Tournament Practice

Battle Report: ChaosNext month a bunch of us from my FLGS will be traveling to Massachusetts for a team tournament hosted by the Dorkamorka club. It’s a 2K team tournament, so 1K per-player. Hello all,

I was a bit burned out on painting and modelling after the April Assault so I decided to take a week off.  It’s a hobby so there’s no point doing it when your heart isnt in it.  As a result I don’t have much to show you this week.  For the April Assault I did a writeup for my list which gave me a chance to flesh out some background for some of the more notable characters in the chapter. I had a copy of this attached to my last post, but I thought I’d expand on it a little bit.  Read more...
