Command Center: v2.0.0 and a New Site

Command CenterOn Wednesday I released the latest version of Command Center, v2.0.0. The other big thing was a new site. Things look very much the same as before, and function the same, but Command Center now has its own blog. With it now having its own blog, I’ll no longer be posting routine updates regarding it here. I’ll still mention the more notable updates but the day-to-day stuff regarding Command Center will be posted at its blog.

Command Center: v.2.0.0 Progress

Command CenterAs I recently mentioned, I’m working on rewriting Command Center, a free army list building tool for Warhammer 40K. The entire thing is being rewritten from the ground up. It’s been a hell of a task so far but I’ve made a ton of progress on it. Way more progress than I expected to make so soon after beginning.

Command Center: v2.0.0 in Progress

Command CenterI mentioned at the start of the year that I would eventually get to working on v2.0.0 of Command Center and I can finally say I’ve done just that, begun work. It’s going to be a very long road to reach release. The biggest change, and naturally the most time consuming, is that I’m changing the JavaScript library Command Center uses. This library is responsible for 90% of your interactions with the program. The change is needed for me to move forward with Command Center and continue to add in new features. At some point, without changing libraries, things will just plateau and that’s not what I want.

Command Center: Happy Belated Birthday & v1.12.1 Bug Fix

Command Center: Free army list building tool for Warhammer 40KI’ve spent so much time working on it that I forgot Command Center turned 1-year old in November. Technically it’s far older than that since for the first two’ish years of its life it was known and used only by me. However, just over a year ago I threw it out there to the public. To those not familiar, Command Center it is a free army list building tool for Warhammer 40K.

Command Center: v1.12.0 New Feature

Command Center: Free army list building tool for Warhammer 40KThis was a feature I had put off for a while because honestly it was a pain in the ass to make work correctly. I’m glad though that I finally got around to making the effort because for anyone who uses Command Center with regularity they will find this feature invaluable.

Google Friend Connect

I just found out that Google will be discontinuing Google Friend Connect for non-Blogger sites come March. Google is shutting down a handful of their services that just aren’t doing anything of note. Since this blog and Command Center are not Blogger sites that means come March I won’t be able to use the service and so I went ahead and removed it from both sites already. On the plus side it did fix the issue with the Google +1 button not rendering.

Command Center: v1.11.0 – New Features

Command Center: Free army list building tool for Warhammer 40KOne of my aims with Command Center is to create a community. I want it to be more than the place you visit every now and then to create a roster or print one off. To that end I’ve added in new features which I hope people will enjoy and make thorough use of.

Command Center: Update in Progress

Command CenterJust a heads up. I’m working on Command Center to introduce a new feature and while I’m doing so you’ll likely have issues with roster sharing. All else should be fine though, no issues working on your rosters, hopefully.

Command Center: Promote It

Command Center: Free army list building tool for Warhammer 40KSlowly Command Center is growing. Every day there’s a few new people who create an account and check it out, which is awesome but I know it can grow more. It’s a great program but I’m a bit biased, however I also know some of you really enjoy it too.
