Fratris Salutem: More Mission Testing
Considering all I’ve been doing lately is related to Fratris Salutem, I may as well post about it, at least what I can without giving away too much.
Fratris Salutem 2013: Date Changed to June 1st
To help spread the word quicker, the date for Fratris Salutem had to be moved to June 1st because of a conflict. Naturally, for Magic States they decided May 18th was a wonderful date for their event and this was only told to those who work at Crossroad Games, the event host, a few weeks ago. It’s no fault of XRG and they have offered refunds for those who can’t make June 1st and also lowered the entry fee for those buying tickets going forward.
Rok Da Vote: New Tau Codex
Games Workshop is cranking out the 6th edition codices and Tau has definitely been one many players were anxious for. As always I like to get a feel for initial impressions of a codex and then later on re-poll once the dust has settled. Considering how popular Tau are, I’m really hoping to get a lot of votes for this one. Don’t let me down ;)
Anyway, vote away on what you think of the new Tau codex.

Fratris Salutem 2013: Mission Testing
I’ve been working hard on the Fratris Salutem event for May 18th at Crossroad Games. Yesterday I got the master done for the winning team’s awards so now I can focus more on getting the missions completed.

40K Campaign Event: Fratris Salutem – May 18th, 2013
I’ve mentioned over the past few months the spring event being held at Crossroad Games in Standish, Maine which we’ve decided to call Fratris Salutem. Well, the time has come to get the packet out there and drive some interest!

Old Stuff Day 2013: Our Contribution
It’s another year and another Old Stuff Day. In going through our archives here for 2012 I noticed something. In previous years we produced a fair amount of editorials but this past year it was mostly hobby related stuff. It’s interesting to see how your blog changes over time.
Old Stuff Day 2013 – Almost Forgot!
I damn near forgot about Old Stuff Day! Two years ago Rob at Warhammer 39,999 began Old Stuff Day. In short, it’s a day where every blogger showcases articles they’ve done over past year (or longer), that might have fallen off the radar, maybe it’s just something you’d like to bring attention to again, stuff you may have done before you gained popularity or just anything you’re exceptionally proud of.
Rok Da Vote: New Dark Angels Codex (Closed)
It’s been a month since I put the poll up and the votes are dying out so it’s time to tally the results. I like doing these polls early on in a codex’s life to get the first impressions and then months later running the same poll to see how opinions have changed. Always interesting seeing how views alter once that new car smell wears off.
40K Narrative Event: The Story (1st Revision)
I’m working on finalizing the story for the spring event at my FLGS. I put up a first draft earlier this month and now I have the first revision done. Mostly I added in a bit more detail regarding the guardians of the fortress that Chaos is attacking. I fleshed out a little the final paragraph as well. Feedback is gladly welcomed.

Warp Discovery: Space Hulk II
Been a while since I did one of these, Warp Discovery. Cool 40K stuff isn’t exactly as popular on the internet as funny cat pictures but occassionaly there’s something great to be found.

40K Narrative Event: The Story (WIP)
Last month I mentioned a 40K narrative event that my FLGS will be hosting in the spring, May 18th to be precise. Time is quickly flying by and I’m working on hammering out the storyline for the event. I see the storyline, if done right, as being a big draw for the event, at least to those who enjoy fun fluffy stuff like this.

Rok Da Vote: New Dark Angels Codex
Simple enough; what do you think of the new Dark Angels codex? I like to run an early poll like this and then months down the road do it again to see if opinions have changed.
I can say that as a Chaos player I’ve faced them twice and it’s a rough battle. Having access to preferred enemy against Chaos, which is WAY better than hatred that Chaos pays points for with a few exceptions, and weapons that get better against Chaos; well it’s harsh.
Anyway, vote away!
40K Narrative Event: Early Stages of Planning
My FLGS, Crossroad Games, hosts two large annual events for 40K. We have the Standish Standoff in the fall and then in the spring we have another one. The last name of the spring event being the April Assault, though the name will be different this year, as will the event.
