Tau Fandex Troops
Damn you GW and your cool but late models!
Over the last week I have made some progress on painting one of my Grey Hunter squads and on building my fifth DIY drop pod. I have not actually taken any pictures though, so no hobby update for today. Perhaps I’ll manage a mid-week update to make up for it.
So instead, how about a little rant about GW and their late to the table creations?

Introduction
Hello everyone, I’m Lukas, I’ve been playing 40k for a bit over 2 years now, I started out with Space Wolves, cause I recognized how good power armor was, but I didn’t realize I had picked what was regarded as one of the best codices in the game (to this day I refuse to play more than one squad of long fangs, if I even play the Wolves).
Herding Cats for fun and profit
Social networks, joining people of like mind and like interest in a new wave of understanding and cooperation! Nonsense! Social networks are actually a nest of vipers and unless you are very, very careful you will get bitten! I spend hours a week deleting posts and dealing with private messages about one person or another’s perceived misbehaviour. I spend hours a week deleting spam from forums and Facebook groups, I also spend hours a week dealing with the “helpful” suggestions from members and finding nice ways to say no. You need to be fully aware how bitchy and petty people are when they are in groups before you undertake any project that involves organizing people into groups. Its worse than you think. With that out of the way…
Why Campaigns are Fun
At my FLGS we tend to run a campaign of some sort about every 3-4 months. Whenever we do them the attendance at the shop is crazy. The last campaign we did averaged 20-22 players each week. The best part, in my opinion, was after the campaign was over a lot of the players stuck around and became more regular players instead of infrequent ones.

Tau Fandex: Path Finders
Last Wednesday I came to the conclusion that I cant stand playing my Tau any more. I was teaching a friend how to play Tau. We were playing annihilation against a Thunder Wolf spam list and we played pretty well. My friend and I made few mistakes and we took advantage of the lack of experience that our opponents brought.
Welcome To Scotland
That awkward first post…
Hi, I’m Grumhelden. I have other blogs, you may have read them, you probably haven’t. Either way your thinking “who’s this guy?”. I’m Scottish, from Glasgow, I’m full on working class and I play Games, nah, I *love* games. For my part here on Creative Twilight, I’m hoping that I can contribute more about the how’s and why’s, as opposed to the who’s and what’s of our hobby. There will be batreps, tournament reports and progress reports on the Blood Bowl Team I’m converting up, in future, god willing. For now, let me kick off with some stuff on how things are here in Scotland in gaming terms. I’m sticking to gaming terms because I don’t want to ruin that image of a kilted ginger Janitor you have in head right now.

What I Learned from the ‘Leaked’ 6th Edition
Atypically of me I had jumped on the bandwagon and put up an article about the supposed leaked 6th edition. Now, as many thought, it appears to be completely false and you can find those debunking it in my blogroll or with a little searching. There was something I did take away from this though, the thought of a game as complicated as the leaked 6th edition was is just not for me.
Perception: Know Thyself
Year in Review on the Gaming Front
I thought it would be interesting, to me if nobody else, to make use of all the match data that I keep. I’ve played for just over five years now and have recorded every game. So, let’s see how I’ve progressed, or digressed as the case may be, over those years.
What 40K is to Me
This past November marked my 5th year of playing 40K and with the year quickly coming to a close I began thinking about what 40K is to me. I could spin this into some sort of psychology article but others have already done so better than I. Instead this will just be an honest article about me, something I rarely do.
