Command Center: A Few Site Updates

Command CenterI wanted to note a few minor, though one significant, updates on Command Center.

First up, I had a few links for creating a new account that were screwed up and in turn sending people to my guild’s forums. These links are now fixed but if you signed up on those forums instead of Command Center then you’ll need to go back to Command Center and sign up. I apologize about the mix-up and who knows how long it’s been that way; likely far longer than I’d care to know.

Second, I removed the ads and junk from the site. It wasn’t so much of a moral issue as it was setting the tone for the site. The site is free for everyone and having all those ads up there I feel was distracting and taking away from the value of Command Center. Hard to explain my thoughts exactly on this subject but generally speaking I feel it was putting people off.

I’m currently working on reorganizing things to make the site easier to navigate. You’ll have to bear with me for a bit as I try things out.

Lastly, I’ve begun creating an FAQ for Command Center. If you go to the help area of the site you’ll now see a link for the FAQ. I’ll be building it up over time and if you have any suggestions for things to add in there then let me know.

For those unsure of what Command Center is, it’s a free army list building tool for Warhammer 40K.

  • 1)  Will command center tell me the total points value of my army (if so, how is this calculated).
    2)  Is this the post that us bloggers are supposed to be on the look-out for?

    That is all. :)

    • 1) It can. It’s kind of like an online excel sheet really. You enter the values and it will total. There’s more to it than that but that’s the short of it.
      2) Hmmm?

  • Spectre Senence

Will you be updating the copy over for the wargear or make it an option. The real time saver would be that for me not the stat lines. If I can name my squad and have a basic layout when I make a new list it would be perfect.

    • Yes, it’s called a preset. You create a preset sheet with all the details and it will copy over onto a roster. Under the roster menu pick new preset sheet. Name it whatever, like IG Presets. You can find more info under rosters, help.
