HUNTED and the Revenge of the Real World

Dear Twilighters (not to be confused with a mass of teenaged girls who might be similarly recognized),

I imagine that if I were a snake handler I could make some commentary about not paying enough attention to the snake and getting a fang-full of venom in your hand.  I’m not a snake handler, but I think we can all agree that the real world is a lot like this.  Which is why we have hobbies we enjoy, in particular this creative gaming and modeling hobby we all escape to as often as possible.  But if you don’t pay enough attention to what you should be doing in the really real world, you might find that you’re stressed and behind and you might just get bit.  This is where I am now.

I’ve personally been investing in too many hobbies, projects, and dreams, and the only results I’m seeing is neglect of more important things.  Therefore, it’s time for me to tune it back a bit.  I hope to still join Thor and the gang from time to time, but it won’t be nearly so often as it has been lately.  For those few who might have actually been following HUNTED, you can find the remaining episodes and the complete story on my blog.

Thanks for having me, and I’ll see you around sometime soon.

J. D. Brink

(p.s.  I almost used a Twilight movie image for this but couldn’t bring myself to stoop so low.  I figured the full moon covered both that and the Space Wolf/Wulfen thing well enough.)

  • It’s easy to spread yourself thin, that’s for sure.

Best of luck getting things back on track and we’ll miss seeing you around here as often. I’ll definitely check your blog to get the rest of this story. I need a conclusion!

  • Thanks, and thanks for having me. I’ll be around!

  • I can definitely relate to getting swamped by reality. Good luck catching up!

I’ll also be checking your blog to read the rest of your story!
