Disciples of Twilight is my Chaos Marines warband. Below you’ll find information regarding them, their fluff. I’m constantly updating this and so it’s always a work in progress.
I’ve been wanting to get into writing more fluff and stories for a very long time now but I keep putting it off for one reason or another. Likely out of fear that anything I write will mediocre at best. I have written some stuff over the years but it was previously buried on the site and likely many of you never knew it existed. To rectify that, and to motivate me to do some more writing, I’ve changed things around a bit. All the old stuff were setup as pages instead of articles so when I created them they never appeared on the front of the site. All the old stuff, and of course new stuff going forward, are articles. In the top navigation you’ll now see Fluff. Fluff will give you all fluff (makes sense right?), but under that it’s broken down by our various armies if you’re after specifics. Not everything under fluff are stories, you’ll also find history and such as well.
Picking up where I left off on Part 1 for some fluff regarding the beginning of my Chaos Marines warband, Disciples of Twilight. Here we go.
At my FLGS we decided to run a large Crusade of Fire campaign. On Wednesday night we had a total of 21 players attend which we broke out into the three teams. I’m playing Disciples of Twilight, my Chaos Marines. Seeing as my warband’s fluff is still in-the-making, I figured this would be a good chance to get some fluff established. So, I’m going to try and get some narrative style battle reports up, starting with this one.
This week was our second week in our Crusade of Fire campaign. Following the book, we let those with fewer flags issue challenges and I was challenged by a Sisters player who was looking to take my hive city. The campaign suggests using Cities of Death for hive city attacks and so we busted out a copy and browsed through. I have not played Cities of Death in years so I was looking forward to it. I’d love to have sat down to read it in full, as I don’t own it, but we didn’t want to spend an hour getting intimately familiar with it. We picked up on the major points of the book and got to it.
Last Wednesday was the 3rd week in our Crusade of Fire campaign. Having won in the prior two weeks I was one of the last to get the ability to challenge. Before I had the chance though I was challenged by Spectre Senence and his Dark Eldar. We were going to fight for a position I held on the small moon, Veth. We’re suppossed to do Planetstrike for off planet attacks, unless you hold a space port, but we just went for a normal game.
This week was the fourth week in our Crusade of Fire campaign. It was an off-week for us though. Instead of moving into the next phase of the campaign, as we normally would have, we continued from our previous week. The next phase requires some additional planning that wasn’t ready yet.
