The primary color is bone with red and black as accent colors, and black inlays on the shoulders. The Chapter emblem is a scythe crossed with an angel’s wing. Each Wing (name used instead of Company), is designated by the coloring of their squad markings.
A Shield is a group, typically males of various ages, who protect their city from the dangerous creatures that roam the swamps around the city. Shields are not a military branch and are not officially sanctioned, though they are heavily relied upon.
Ultan looked around to his assembled squad. Today he would lead four brothers of the 6th Veteran squad to the surface below wearing the sacred terminator armor of the chapter. Their job was to secure a forward position for the attack. The 7th Veteran squad, lead by Chaplain X, would be dropping in south of Ultan’s squad’s entry point to clear a path for the 1st Tactical squad’s Rhino to advance. Securing that forward position would allow the Fate’s Angels to hold the southern side of the city and advance to deliver the wrath of the Emperor to the Xenos race of Tau who held it. With the forward position secure, the 1st Tactical squad able to advance, the rest of the squads awaiting deployment with drop pods would hammer down and break the back of the Tau.
Librarian Legatus knocked on the chamber door of Captain Faber.
“Enter,” came the reply.
Captain Valerian Faber knew they were approaching the enemy’s position, a large war host of Eldar. He commanded the vehicles to fall into a spearhead formation and the Scouts and Devastators to take up a covering fire position in a small wooded area on their flank. The enemy was almost in sight and they would be ready to push aside the xenos threat that was determined to stop them from progressing further.
This was written by Wargamer from TO. He’s got my chapter in some of his chapter’s history, this is one of those stories.
This was not written by me. It was written by somebody on TO, Wargamer, who wanted to use my chapter in a story he was doing. He wrote this as the prelude to that story, which I’ll also post once he’s finished it.
