‘ard Boyz 2011: The Bumpy Road

I had all these intentions of going into ‘ard Boyz completely prepared and ready to fight my way to the top but somewhere along the way something changed. I had my list concept determined and was playing the hell out of my Marines so I’d know them inside and out. The lists always focused on a core utilizing Shrike, Assault Marines and Assault Terminators, the rest was adjusted as needed for whatever point value we were playing that day. Orks – ‘ard Boyz Tactica

An ‘ard Boy costs 4pts more than a normal Boy, which is a pretty significant price increase. For every 3 ‘ard Boyz you buy you could have 2 more normal Boyz, IE: 3 ‘ard Boyz or 5 regular Boyz. So, is the 4+ save worth the big price increase? In my opinion, yes they are worth it, you just can’t use them like you would normal Boyz or you’re going to waste your points and then they won’t be worth it.  Read more... Upcoming ‘ard Boyz and a Break for Me

May is the month for ‘ard Boyz and my FLGS will be holding preliminaries for it. The April tournament at the shop will be 2,500 to get ready for the encroaching ‘ard Boyz. Since I have no interest in ‘ard Boyz in May I’ll be skipping out on the April tournament also. A few months off from tournaments is a good thing I think.
