April Assault 40K Tournament – Kamui’s Review
I attended the April Assault at Crossroad Games in Standish, Maine on Saturday. It was a hobby focused event with heavy emphasis on soft scores. I figured I’d post my impressions of the day as a review for those of you who are interested and feedback for those who hosted the event. For those of you who would like to see the details of the event you can download the event packet here.

Kamui’s Workbench: A Tale of Two Speeders continued
Hello all,
A few weeks back I picked up a couple of land speeders to add some mobility to my Reavers (Space Wolves.) I got them cheap on eBay but they were in need of some repairs. For those of you who haven’t seen them (and those of you who have a memory like mine and have forgotten,) you can see how they started here and how the repairs went here.
I’ve since finished the builds and have begun painting them. I want to field them as Typhoons for the April Assault this weekend so I built some Typhoon Missile Launchers for them using styrene sheet. While I’m posting WIP shots I thought I’d include a mini-tutorial for them.
Community Pimp’n: First of 2012
I’m going to change the format of this around a bit and combine the Weekly Wrap-up into this. Really the only reason they were separate was it gave me another easy article to put up. It just makes more sense to combine things.

Kamui’s Summer Challenge: Reavers progress
I’ve been working on shoehorning my old marine collection into a usable Space Wolves army. As you can see my old collection is somewhat eclectic.

Blogging: Making Social Media Work?
Weekly Wrap-up: A Busy Few Weeks
Christmas interfered with putting one of these up last week. Let’s see, a new author started here, EvantheNoob, and you can read his intro and say hi over here. He’ll be getting up some articles in the near future so keep an eye out.
That Time of Year
Life, Why Must You Interfere With 40K?
As the lack of articles has surely indicated, I’ve been busy. Work is non-stop and life outside of work has been full of various activities and events. My brain has become fried and ideas for articles are fleeting or non-existent. I’d hate to put up half-assed articles as filler until such a time as some idea strikes me, so for now things will remain quiet.
Blog: Slow and Steady
I was just checking the site stats, as I routinely do since I’m a bit of a stat whore, and saw that October was the busiest month for the site. Every month has slowly but surely been gaining more traffic, as well as a few new “followers” via-Google. So, I wanted to say thanks to those who take a few minutes a day to check out what’s going on here. There’s a ton of really great blogs out there and the fact that anyone stops by here is amazing to me.
My Posting Schedule
For a few weeks my posting abilities will be greatly reduced. I’ve got a few really large projects at work that require a lot of attention and leave me little time to get posts out. I usually get to work early and work on articles to try and deliver one a day but right now getting to work early is resulting is starting work early.
Blog: Finding My Voice
I began this blog over a year ago as a platform for commission painting. This past February I decided to start posting about 40K and try and bring this blog into the mighty 40K blogosphere. Surprisingly I’ve managed to hammer through six months of posting my musings and ramblings, making it beyond the typical mark many bloggers do before burnout sets in and ideas run out. However, now I’m finding myself at a crossroad.
Greetings FTW!
When I began blogging I decided I wanted to get some experience under my belt before I went to FTW (From the Warp), and asked to join the blogger group there.
