Does Size Really Matter?

TastyTaste over at Blood of Kittens has been running a series called In Defense of 1500 that I’ve found interesting. When I got into playing 40K with my friends we were always playing 1,500 games, sometimes we’d go up to 1,750 or 1,850. Initially I was building my army and couldn’t do very large games. However, after I had my Orks built up to a relatively large army we still continued doing smaller games, occasionally tossing down a 2,000 for the fun of it.

Games Workshop – Downloadable Content

Kumui and I have chatted about this at great length over the years and it’s not a new topic by any means. Should GW make their rules and/or codices freely available? Yes, they should.

March will see the release of the latest 40K expansion, Battle Missions. Bell of Lost Souls posted up a video sneak peak a few weeks ago that you can see over at the BoLS site.

This morning Joe contacted me about doing some work for a full Space Marine company he has. Joe has 6 Tactical squads, 2 Devastator squads, a 6-man Assault squad, 6 Land Speeders, about 10 Dreadnoughts and 3 Predators. I’ll be doing the modeling on the company, cleaning them up, assembling them and priming them for him. I’ll also be doing some base painting on the infantry. It’s going to be a big task but it will be very cool to see a full company all at once. I’ll be sure to get shots once the projects gets fully underway.
