Lessons Learned: The Failure of Confidence
We’ve been doing this tournament at the shop that spans two weeks. The other week was the first week and so last week we were pairing off appropriately, losers vs losers and winners vs winners, and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. I got there late and there was one person left not paired off, who fortunately happened to also win the previous week, so we grabbed a table.

Blog: Finding My Voice
I began this blog over a year ago as a platform for commission painting. This past February I decided to start posting about 40K and try and bring this blog into the mighty 40K blogosphere. Surprisingly I’ve managed to hammer through six months of posting my musings and ramblings, making it beyond the typical mark many bloggers do before burnout sets in and ideas run out. However, now I’m finding myself at a crossroad.
Gauntlet #3: There Can Be Only One
Gauntlet #2: Less is More
I think each one of us has a favorite force organization slot with each army we play. I know with my Marines it’s elites, just so many juicy choices. With my Orks though it’s troops. Since I play Speedmek I’m fielding small units and as such I need a lot of troops to handle casualties.

Lessons Learned: Kommandos
Kommandos have always been a favorite unit of mine, especially with Snikrot. They’re a unit that as soon as I put into my list the list becomes exciting for me. For a while I had not fielded them and I couldn’t honestly recall why. After this month’s tournament I recalled why, mech.
