Weekly Wrap-up: Games and Paint
This past week was a very busy week for me on the painting front. Since wrapping up Joe’s Marines I’ve just about finished painting my Assault Squad. I just have the Sarge left and he should be done this weekend.
Weekly Wrap-up: A Busy Few Weeks
Christmas interfered with putting one of these up last week. Let’s see, a new author started here, EvantheNoob, and you can read his intro and say hi over here. He’ll be getting up some articles in the near future so keep an eye out.

Weekly Wrap-up: So Little Time
Things have continued to remain extremely busy for me. That means the commission work for Joe has been at a crawl, though damn near completion…how long have I been saying that, damn.

Weekly Wrap-up: Another Slow Week
Played Ming on Wednesday in a dawn of war annihilation game. He had his Ultramarines and I brought Fate’s Angels, my Marines. The game was a pretty slow game that was mostly uneventful. The board was dominated by large hills that vehicles couldn’t go over, so there were really only three lanes to move forward through. Being that I brought along six vehicles, I didn’t have a ton of choices and in the end Ming took the win by one kill point.

Weekly Wrap-up: Beer!
I’d love to say I got a lot accomplished last week and this weekend but that’s just not true. You see, Saturday was the Maine Brew Fest in Portland and like any craft beer lover I attended. I went along with Kamui and seven others to drown ourselves in some great local brews. If anyone is in the area I highly recommend Sebago Brewing Company’s bourbon barrel cask aged barley wine. It hurts so good.

Weekend Wrap-up: Boo!
Been a pretty busy week at work this week and haven’t had much time to write articles. I know, you’re all sad, me too.

Weekend Wrap-up: Lots O’ Stuff
I got in the usual game on Wednesday and put down my tried and true Speedmek list and pulled out a minor victory over Chaos. We were play testing Recovery for the upcoming October tournament next week. I had tried last week a test an Ork list that was more shooty, which I feel has potential but I don’t have enough time to tweak it with play testing before next week. So, the tried and true list it is, which I’ll probably post up this week.

Weekend Wrap-up: My Brain Hurts!
Not a whole lot to report this weekend. As previously mentioned, I’ve had a huge project at work that had a deadline pushed on me that has been kicking my ass the past few weeks, mostly this week though. As a result I’ve not had much of any time to dedicate to getting stuff up on the site.

Weekend Wrap-up: Mix O’ Stuff
Wednesday night I got in a game against a new comer to the shop. We played a 1,500 game of Marine on Marine for annihilation. I got smoked, plain and simple. For some reason when I play annihilation I always forget to go for the easy kill points and spend too much time focusing on the tougher units, the threats. By the time I realize I’m down on points it’s too late to climb out of the hole. One of these days I’ll play that damn mission correctly.

Weekend Wrap-up: Paint and Play
I had some stuff I wanted to post up over the week but for one reason or another it never happened. So, introducing the Weekend Wrapup, where I post random stuff from the week that I forgot about, wasn’t really worth posting on its own, or I just feel like tossing in.

Quick Shot – Progress Update for Joe
Just wanted to take a quick shot of my painting station to show the progress that’s been made so far for Joe’s Marines. Contained in here we have, from back to front: 10 Veterans, 5 Devastators, 5 Command Squad, 5 Devastators, 10 Assault Squad, 10 Tactical Marines, 5 Tactical Marines with 3 more in progress (which since this picture are complete). You’ll have to excuse the flash, didn’t have much light otherwise.
Five Tacts are just about complete and I may be able to get another five completed. Worst case is I get a good head start on the other five. We’re in the homestretch.
It appears I won’t be gone this weekend as originally planned. Hopefully that means I’ll be able to catch up on some painting for Joe. Life has kept me from it the past week.
Since the last update for Joe, the Tact Squad that was in progress is complete and the 5-man heavy bolter Dev squad is now complete. Unfortunately I’ve run out of primer though and won’t be able to pick some up until Wednesday. Till then!
Another quick update for Joe. Wrapping up the last 4 models to finish off another Tact Squad and in the process of priming a 5-man Dev Squad. With the completion of the Tact Squad that puts me at 50 painted models with almost just as many left to go. Things are speeding up though, IE: less distractions, so the last half of this should move along faster than it began.
