Buzzdakka!

Here are some WIP shots of a nob I’m working on.  Buzzdakka is a nob with big shoota and ‘uge choppa. He’s based on a Black Ork body with parts from the Nobz box and other sources. I’ve used Kneadatite to update his pants and boots and clean up the joints.

Bad Moon Nob

Hello all.  I’m still getting the hang of this newfangled blog-a-majingy so you will all have to bear with me as I sort things out.  I don’t have quite as much to say as Thor, so I’ll be starting with some pictures.  Here’s a Bad Moon nob I recently painted, eventually he’ll be leading a mob of Bad Moon ‘Ard Boyz.

September Team Tournament Wrap-up

Tournament: Sad PandaThis was the second team tournament I’ve done and like the last time I had a good time. It’s nice to have someone to confer with and discuss strategy as you play. Of course there’s the interesting pairings that occur too that make for fun games.

August Tournament Results

Crossroad Games, the LGS I play at, was having a store anniversary this weekend with lots of stuff going on and one event was a 1,750 tournament for 40K. There was no entry fee and my plans allowed for me to attend so I headed down there yesterday.

Imperium vs Xenos Campaign Concludes

Campaign Ass KickingIn hindsight I should have been posting about this as we were doing it, ah well. At the LGS over the past five weeks we’ve been doing a campaign that was the Imperium vs Xenos. Each week we’d have a scenario created by Dave, employee at the shop, and battle it out to gain points for our side. Our missions ranged from 2,250 games to Kill Team. The entire campaign was a blast and last night we wrapped up in brutal fashion.

Lessons Learned: Kommandos

KommandosKommandos have always been a favorite unit of mine, especially with Snikrot. They’re a unit that as soon as I put into my list the list becomes exciting for me. For a while I had not fielded them and I couldn’t honestly recall why. After this month’s tournament I recalled why, mech.

July’s 1,850 Tournament Results

TournamentAnother long and mentally tiring game of moving plastic models around a table and rolling dice. I didn’t fair poorly but I did not win the tournament and did not win any consolation prizes either, IE: best army, best sport and…there was another one. For the day I went 2-1, getting a massacre win, a minor loss and then a major win. Here’s the quick and dirty, oh and I was playing my Ork list that I mentioned here:

Today the 1,850 tournament at Crossroad Games commences at noon. Because of ‘ard Boyz, I have not played in a tournament since March, so I’m looking forward to today. Time to print off the army list and gather the Boyz into the transport. Waaagh!

Speedmek: Heavy Support Choices

Speedmek: HeavyThe last slot on the chart to cover for the fifth part of the Speedmek series, heavy support. Let’s get right to it.

Speedmek: Fast Attack Choices

Speedmek: FastNow we move to fast attack for our fourth in the series on Speedmek. You would think that this would be the slot where I invest the most but it’s not. I rely on my troops, the Trukk Boyz, to do the heavy work, or Nobz if chosen. I mostly derive my speed element from Trukks. The other fast choices are there to compliment the core of Trukks, to help ensure the Trukks deliver the Boyz.

Speedmek: Elite Choices

Speedmek - l337For the second part of the series about my Speedmek list we’ll cover the elite choices. This really ranges for me a lot. Being that I don’t use the same lists over and over I mix it up and this is one area I can mix it up with a big impact. Let’s cover the more popular choices of mine.

Speedmek: What is it?

Speedmek: QuestionSpeedmek is a term I’ve used to define the style of my Ork lists. The name rather obviously covers the style, it’s fast with mek elements to it, but I’ve never really gone into any depth on it. I thought I’d give a shot at running a series around my Speedmek style and hopefully share some insightful info and give you something to look forward to, well at least the Ork players out there. My plan is to break down my lists based on the force organization chart but for this entry I’ll try and give an overview of what the style is.
