October Tournament Report

Yesterday at the LGS we played an 1,850 tournament. A few months ago I began advocating we remove army composition and this month was our first without it. At the end of the day we were asked what we thought and nobody noticed a difference, that army composition wasn’t in place. That’s the appropriate answer in my opinion.  Read more... October 1,850 Tournament – Ork List

I was originally hoping to use my Marines but in wanting to field only painted units, well that leaves me with a poor Marine list. Weekend Wrap-up: Lots O’ Stuff

I got in the usual game on Wednesday and put down my tried and true Speedmek list and pulled out a minor victory over Chaos. We were play testing Recovery for the upcoming October tournament next week. I had tried last week a test an Ork list that was more shooty, which I feel has potential but I don’t have enough time to tweak it with play testing before next week. August Tournament Results

Crossroad Games, the LGS I play at, was having a store anniversary this weekend with lots of stuff going on and one event was a 1,750 tournament for 40K. July’s 1,850 Tournament Results

Another long and mentally tiring game of moving plastic models around a table and rolling dice. I didn’t fair poorly but I did not win the tournament and did not win any consolation prizes either, IE: best army, best sport and…there was another one. Speedmek: Fast Attack Choices

Now we move to fast attack for our fourth in the series. You would think that this would be the slot where I invest the most but it’s not. I rely on my troops, the Trukk Boyz, to do the heavy work, or Nobz if chosen. I mostly derive my speed element from Trukks. Speedmek: What is it?

Speedmek is a term I’ve used to define the style of my Ork lists. The name rather obviously covers the style, it’s fast with mek elements to it, but I’ve never really gone into any depth on it. I thought I’d give a shot at running a series around my Speedmek style and hopefully share some insightful info and give you something to look forward to, well at least the Ork players out there. My plan is to break down my lists based on the force organization chart but for this entry I’ll try and give an overview of what the style is.  Read more...
