Maelstrom of War: Into the Fight v1.0.0

Objective Markers

Players must place 6 Objective Markers that are individually numbers 1 through 6 on the table. Use the standard rules for Placing Objective Markers. Markers are placed after terrain has been set-up, but before determining Deployment Zones.

Deployment

Dawn of War

First Turn

The player that set up first can choose to take the first or second turn. If they decided to take the first turn, their opponent can attempt to Seize the Initiative.

Tactical Objectives

If, at the start of a player turn, he has less than 3 Tactical Objectives, he must generate Tactical Objectives until he has 3.

Special Rules

If, at the end of your turn, you hold an objective then that objective becomes yours. You do not need to stay within 3″ of it afterwards, though you may, in which case it’s treated normally. If you move away from a claimed objective then it is considered to be held by a non-objective secured unit.

A claimed objective will be lost if your opponent can claim the objective for himself. Also, if you have a Tactical Objective for an objective secured in this way, and you score that objective, then the objective reverts back to using normal objective rules.

Game Length

The mission uses the Variable Game Length.

Victory Conditions

Primary Objective

Achieve as many Tactical Objectives as possible.

Secondary Objectives

The Hunted, Linebreaker, Delayed Strike

The Hunted – Each player will select one unit in his army. The opponent must destroy that unit to score this secondary.
Delayed Strike – Destroy an enemy unit on the second game turn.

Mission Special Rules

Night Fighting, Reserves, Tactical Objectives
