In non-blogging related news, Monday we had a really cold day here in Maine, starting the morning off at -20 fahrenheit. My wife got home and the heat wasn’t working on the 2nd floor so I called the plumber/heating guy. I figured it was a zone control valve since the zone was calling for heat on the furnace, which means the heat just wasn’t being pushed to the 2nd floor. The heating guy couldn’t come till Wednesday so we sucked it up and used an electric heater in the bedroom for two nights.
He comes over Wednesday and replaces the zone valve then he says what any homeowner hates to hear, “Uh o”. As luck would have it the there were frozen pipes. If you’ve never had to deal with this then consider yourself very lucky. He had this machine that clamps to the pipes and runs heat through them to slowly unthaw the pipes. Long story short, four and a half hours later we cleared the pipes. We got extremely lucky too in that there was no break in the pipes, which is typical when pipes freeze. A very large bill later and we have heat back to our 2nd floor.
Anyway, Wednesday we played the 3rd week of the campaign we’re running at the LGS. My team is really doing well so far in the campaign.

I think I’ll go to a bi-weekly format for this, or maybe every three weeks. My polls seem to die off after 20’ish votes so no sense dragging it out for weeks after.
I’ve been working on a converted Shrike model for a while now. Since I play my own chapter, Fate’s Angels, I wanted to do a counts-as. I had done a bunch of green stuff work on him, mostly making his jump pack harness, but I wasn’t 100% pleased with it and have scraped the harness and will re-sculpt it. Once I’m happy with the harness I’ll get some WIP shots up.
Prospero Burns by Dan Abnett
Right now I’m reading Prospero Burns by Dan Abnett. I’m not far into it, maybe 70’ish pages, but I’m trying to pace myself and enjoy it instead of rushing through it for the climatic ending. I really haven’t much to say about it at this point other than so far so good.
I began playing Warhammer 40K in 2006 and have been an avid player and hobbyist since then. Blood Bowl is also a favorite of mine though I rarely get to play it. Blogging has become my outlet for all those random thoughts regarding the games I play.
