Kamui’s Workbench: Reaver’s Fluff – Notable characters, and what’s on the bench
I was a bit burned out on painting and modelling after the April Assault so I decided to take a week off. It’s a hobby so there’s no point doing it when your heart isnt in it. As a result I don’t have much to show you this week. For the April Assault I did a writeup for my list which gave me a chance to flesh out some background for some of the more notable characters in the chapter. I had a copy of this attached to my last post, but I thought I’d expand on it a little bit.

Battle Report: Catching Up
This past weekend was the April Assault at my FLGS, a hobby oriented 40K tournament. I had brought my Orks for it, list here: http://cmdctr.net/lists/837.

Thor’s Workbench: Chaos Rhino WIP #3
I’m still plugging away on the Chaos Rhino. I have the free hand done, unless I decide to add more, and everything is base coated and shaded now. I’ve begun some of the highlights, which you’ll see, but I’ll need to go back in and clean some of those up later.

Command Center: v2.0.0 in Progress
I mentioned at the start of the year that I would eventually get to working on v2.0.0 of Command Center and I can finally say I’ve done just that, begun work. It’s going to be a very long road to reach release. The biggest change, and naturally the most time consuming, is that I’m changing the JavaScript library Command Center uses. This library is responsible for 90% of your interactions with the program. The change is needed for me to move forward with Command Center and continue to add in new features. At some point, without changing libraries, things will just plateau and that’s not what I want.

April Assault 40K Tournament – Kamui’s Review
I attended the April Assault at Crossroad Games in Standish, Maine on Saturday. It was a hobby focused event with heavy emphasis on soft scores. I figured I’d post my impressions of the day as a review for those of you who are interested and feedback for those who hosted the event. For those of you who would like to see the details of the event you can download the event packet here.

Thor’s Workbench: Chaos Rhino WIP (Update)
I was hoping to get more accomplished on the Rhino yesterday but progress was slower than expected. I’ve only painted three Rhinos before this and they were far easier being that they were all black as a base color, so base coat and highlight. The extra work in doing a half scheme on this one and the added time for shading was pretty significant.

Thor’s Workbench: Chaos Rhino WIP
I have the day to paint so I’m getting started on a Chaos Rhino after finishing up a Plague Champion earlier (shots in a few days). I’m aiming to get this Rhino mostly complete today since it’s not often I have an entire day for painting.

40K Tournament: Off We Go
Today is a 40K tournament at our FLGS, Crossroad Games, called April Assault. Most everyone from Creative Twilight will be there: Myself, Amberclad and Kamui will be playing and Stealthy Stealth and Lukas will be judges for the day. Spectre Senence was going to be there to film for the day but became ill the other day and can’t make it.
Warp Discovery: Dark Angels Battle Movies
Continuing on with this new series where I showcase 40K things I stumble across, this week we have two animated movies featuring Dark Angels from the same creator. These are a few years old at this point and honestly not the best animation you’ll see, but it’s worth checking out.

Lamentations of an Ork Player
Where to begin? I suppose it doesn’t matter seeing as this article will have very little structure to it, unless you count pissing and moaning as structure. My FLGS is hosting a 40K tournament this Saturday. It’s a hobby focused event that’s heavy on the army composition. Being the masochist I am, I decided to bring my Orks out of retirement. A decision I’ve regretted since I conceived it.

Kamui’s Workbench: A Tale of Two Speeders continued
Hello all,
A few weeks back I picked up a couple of land speeders to add some mobility to my Reavers (Space Wolves.) I got them cheap on eBay but they were in need of some repairs. For those of you who haven’t seen them (and those of you who have a memory like mine and have forgotten,) you can see how they started here and how the repairs went here.
I’ve since finished the builds and have begun painting them. I want to field them as Typhoons for the April Assault this weekend so I built some Typhoon Missile Launchers for them using styrene sheet. While I’m posting WIP shots I thought I’d include a mini-tutorial for them.
Necron Strategy/Tactics/My Thoughts Part 3
Hi everyone, here with the third portion of my Necron play style. This week I was going to focus more on how to dish out all that damage, or how to handle the nasty assault units you’ll come across these days.
