One of my aims with Command Center is to create a community. I want it to be more than the place you visit every now and then to create a roster or print one off. To that end I’ve added in new features which I hope people will enjoy and make thorough use of.
Allow Comments – You’ll see this check box now on your roster sheet. By checking this off people will be able to comment on your list when you share it with them.
Submit for Review – I’ve created a new box on the left of the site that shows people seeking review on their list. If you check off Submit for Review on your roster sheet then it will be populated in this new area. This area will display the most recent 10 lists looking for review, sorted by when the list was last updated. You can also click All to see all lists looking for review.
If you select Submit for Review then comments will be enabled regardless of if you checked off Allow Comments or not. You can’t get reviews without comments!
You’ll also notice I changed the look when you share your roster. Before it went to a very basic page that looked like the print view. Now instead you’re taken to the site itself with the roster shown. I wasn’t doing myself any favors trying to promote the site using the previous method.
Links – When you create an account, or update your account information, you’ll now notice two new fields: website link, website name and website info. If you provide this information then your site will be added to the new Links page (it’s in the top navigation bar). This is a great way to promote your site and get some traffic! It’s also a great resource for anyone looking for 40K and gaming related websites.
Anyway, hopefully people find these features useful. As always, Command Center is a free online army list building tool for Warhammer 40K.
