This was a feature I had put off for a while because honestly it was a pain in the ass to make work correctly. I’m glad though that I finally got around to making the effort because for anyone who uses Command Center with regularity they will find this feature invaluable.
* Preset Groups – When you work on your preset sheet you’ll now notice that below the unit name field is a field for group. What this does it allows you to tie multiple units into a single preset group. So, you have a Tactical Squad, Sergeant and Rhino that you’ve setup as presets. If you go ahead and give all three of those units the same group name, let’s say 1st Tactical Squad, then when the auto-completer comes up when you’re working on a roster you’ll see Preset Group: 1st Tactical Squad. If you then select it then it will add in all three of those units at once. You don’t have to add one unit at a time and select the preset. Save yourself the time and use groups where applicable. If the preset isn’t part of a group then just leave that field blank.
Like usual I’ve tested it and things seem to be working as intended but do keep an eye out for bugs. This was a pretty big feature to implement and may have some unforeseen consequences.
Remember, Command Center is a free army list building tool for Warhammer 40K.
