Based on some feedback with play testing on this one I’ve gone ahead and made some tweaks to the point values for destroying units/vehicles. HQs were reduced to being worth 4pts instead of 5pts. Vehicles were also changed, as you’ll see below. In short, there’s some nasty vehicles out there that in the previous format were only worth 1pt, IE: Stormraven, Vendetta, etc. Also, things like Dreadnoughts were only worth 1pt previously, which was what you’d get for destroying an Ork Trukk or a Rhino and generally a Dreadnought is much harder to kill than either of those. The scores needed to win were also increased. Lastly, I clarified the scoring when there’s an overlap for a unit regarding point values.
Annihilate the enemy.
The mission uses modified kill points. The kill point values are as follows:
4pts – HQs
3pts – Most expensive unit
2pts – Anything that is not a Troop
1pt – Troops
1pt – Dedicated transports AV12 or less
2pts – Any other vehicle
Points are not cumulative for a single unit/vehicle. You instead take the higher value. IE: if the enemy’s most expensive unit is also a Troop choice then you would get 3pts for destroying it, not 4pts.
Standard game length or time, whichever comes first.
Infiltrate, scout, deep strike, reserves, outflank, seize the initiative
Massacre – 12 kill points or more than your opponent
Major – 8 kill points or more than your opponent
Minor – 4 kill points or more than your opponent
Draw – Any other condition
* NOTE: If you table your opponent then you automatically score a major victory unless it would otherwise be a massacre.
Battle Point Modifiers
+1 if all your HQs are alive and on the table
+1 destroying all enemy Troops
+1 destroying all enemy HQs
+1 if your most expensive unit is alive and on the table
+1 you have more scoring units in your opponent’s deployment zone than in yours
