This is the final unit I need to get done for the Standish Standoff next month. I have a few odds and ends otherwise but this is the last big project.
As you can see (terrible quality shot, sorry), I opted to use the Fantasy Chaos Warhounds for the unit. I like the look of them and they’re way cheaper than buying the actual models. At this stage I’m cleaning off a few mold lines and doing some gap filling. Speaking of, it’s my first time using the liquid greenstuff and I have to say I’m impressed. It’s the perfect consistency for gap filling and dries fast.
Once I get the squad cleaned up model-wise it’s on to painting and I think I’m going to give airbrushing a shot. Kamui let me borrow one of his airbrushes so there’s no time like the present to finally get around to working with one. Seeing how Warren’s Bloodletters came out I’m sold on it. I figure a unit that’s comprised of flesh and fur is a good place to start, though of course I’ll do testing on other stuff first.
So, not much exciting to see but it’s progress and the end is near.
